What DingOrder is

DingOrder (叮单) is an online ordering system for independent takeaways and small restaurants in the UK, with no commission per order. Each shop gets its own ordering website, on a web address ending in .web.app (for example yourshop.web.app) or its own domain. Customers order collection, delivery or eat-in (by scanning a QR code on the table) on an ordering page in English or Chinese, which opens in the language of the customer's phone, and each order prints automatically on the kitchen printer. Shops pay a one-off fee for the kitchen printer and setup, then a flat monthly fee; card payments are processed by Stripe, which charges its own card fees. DingOrder is run from London: shops in London are set up in person, and shops elsewhere in the UK remotely.

£59 a month, locked for 12 months from your first paid month, plus a one-off £199 for your kitchen printer and setup, paid before setup and refunded in full if your test order can't be made to print. The first £59 is taken 30 days after your test order prints. In London, I come to your shop to set you up. Elsewhere in the UK, I post you the printer and set you up by phone or video call. The one-off £199 is the same everywhere in the UK, postage included. From the second month, Stripe takes £59 from your card automatically each month, in advance (a card subscription).

How it works

  1. Send me your menu.

A photo of your printed menu is fine. I enter the dish names, prices and categories, and you check them. You pay the one-off £199 before I start.

  2. Connect your kitchen printer and get your table QR links.

In London I connect the printer in person; elsewhere in the UK it's posted to you and I help you connect it by phone or video call. The printer is part of the one-off £199. I give you a link for each table; you print the QR cards.

  3. Place a test order together, then go live.

If your test order can't be made to print, I take the printer back and refund the £199 in full. Tickets print in the kitchen as orders come in, and every Monday morning a report on last week is waiting in your admin. I give you a date once I've seen your menu.

What your customers get

  • Your menu on their phone. No app to download. They can order as a guest or create an account.
  • Ordering at the table. Each table's QR code opens your menu with the table number already filled in. Checkout shows "Dine in · Table 8", and the table number prints on the kitchen ticket. Nobody has to write these orders down. How table QR ordering works.
  • Collection. Customers give a name and a UK mobile number, so you can call them.
  • Delivery, on your rules. You set the radius, the fee per mile and a minimum order. Distance is measured by road.
  • Card or cash. Card payments go through Stripe's payment page; card numbers never pass through the DingOrder system. Eat-in and collection customers can choose to pay cash.
  • Easy repeat orders. Order history, one-tap reorder and saved delivery addresses for customers with an account.
  • A menu in English and Chinese, when each dish has both names: send me both and I enter them. It opens in the language of the customer's phone.

What you get in the kitchen and the back office

  • Tickets print by themselves. When a customer orders, the ticket goes straight to your printer. No one has to take the order down or type it in, so staff can spend less time taking orders.
  • You change things yourself. Prices, sold-out dishes (one tap), holidays, opening hours and delivery rules.
  • A weekly report. Every Monday morning: last week's orders, your best-selling dishes and returning customers.
  • Sizes, extras and meal deals. A dish can come in sizes, each with its own price, and with extras such as toppings. A meal deal can ask the customer to pick what goes in it, such as two starters and two mains.

The admin and the kitchen tickets come in English, or in Chinese if you prefer: you pick one language for both in Shop settings. Customers see the menu in English or Chinese.

How it works for your kind of shop: pizza and kebab shops, Indian takeaways and curry houses, fish and chip shops and Chinese takeaways.

How your regulars find your website

  • On Google. If you give me access to your Google Business Profile, I set your site as the preferred way to order on Google. Google may still list other ordering services too. How to add your ordering link on Google.
  • In the shop. A QR card on the counter and on each table.
  • In delivery bags. A small card with your web address. Check your contract with each app before you put cards in app orders.
  • On the phone. Staff can say "you can also order on our website".

How much DingOrder costs

DingOrder

£59 a month

No commission per order: the same price whether you take 10 orders a week or 500. Your price is locked for 12 months from your first paid month.

£199 one-off

You pay it before I set you up. It covers your kitchen printer and my setup: I enter your menu, connect the printer, set up your table links and place a test order with you. If your test order can't be made to print, I take the printer back and refund the £199 in full. Once your test order has printed, the printer is yours to keep, and the £199 isn't refunded.

When the monthly fee starts. Your first monthly payment of £59 is taken 30 days after your test order prints. From the second month, Stripe takes £59 from your card automatically each month, in advance (a card subscription). Stop before your first monthly payment and you pay no monthly fee, with no notice: tell me, and I cancel your subscription before that payment is taken.

No minimum term. Once paid months have started, tell me on WhatsApp, WeChat or by email, and your subscription ends 30 days after the day you tell me. A monthly payment that falls due before that day is still taken; nothing is charged from that day on.

Can you rely on DingOrder?

  • DingOrder is run by Innovation Digital Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07438948).
  • In London, I come to your shop to set you up. Elsewhere in the UK, I post you the printer and set you up by phone or video call. The one-off £199 is the same everywhere in the UK, postage included.

Every shop gets a web address, yourshop.web.app, as part of the monthly price. Not included: Stripe's card fee (1.5% + 20p on standard UK cards, from Stripe's UK pricing page, checked 13 October 2026), your own domain if you want one, and printed table QR cards if you want them.

What platform commission costs you

Put in your own numbers: weekly platform orders, average order value and the commission on your invoice.

How many orders a week come through Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats. Your platform invoices show this.
Your platform invoice usually shows total sales and number of orders: divide one by the other.
Just Eat and Uber Eats quote commission before VAT. If your shop can't reclaim VAT, add it: 14% plus 20% VAT is 16.8%.

Rates from Just Eat's partner page and Uber Eats' UK pricing page, before VAT; Stripe's card fee from Stripe's UK pricing page. All checked 13 October 2026. The rate on your invoice is the one that counts.

With 30 platform orders a week, the commission comes to about £364 a month (at the rate you entered). Not every order will move. The £59 monthly fee pays for itself once you get about 6 orders a week directly instead of through the app, paid by card (after Stripe's 1.5% + 20p card fee). This is an estimate from your numbers, not a promise. The commission is worked out at the rate you enter (the apps publish theirs before VAT). It leaves out the one-off £199 for the kitchen printer and setup, and your own delivery costs.

DingOrder's promises to shops

  • If your test order can't be made to print, I take the printer back and refund the £199 in full.
  • I never change your menu or your prices without asking you.
  • Your price is locked for 12 months from your first paid month. After your first 12 paid months, any new price is announced at least 60 days before it applies, and you can stop instead.
  • When you stop, nothing more is charged once your subscription ends.
  • I won't keep chasing you.

Questions owners ask about DingOrder

Is DingOrder commission-free?

DingOrder takes no commission on orders. Instead you pay a flat monthly fee: £59 a month, whether you take 10 orders a week or 500, plus a one-off £199 for your kitchen printer and setup. Card payments carry Stripe's card fee (1.5% + 20p on standard UK cards, Stripe's UK pricing, checked 13 October 2026).

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. DingOrder has no minimum term. Before you start, we both sign a written agreement with the terms on the pricing page. Stop before your first monthly payment and you pay no monthly fee, with no notice: tell me, and I cancel your subscription before that payment is taken. Once paid months have started, tell me on WhatsApp, WeChat or by email, and your subscription ends 30 days after the day you tell me. A monthly payment that falls due before that day is still taken; nothing is charged from that day on. Your price of £59 a month is locked for 12 months from your first paid month, but that doesn't tie you in.

Are there any other fees?

Here is everything a shop pays for DingOrder:

  • A one-off £199 for your kitchen printer and setup, paid before I set you up. If your test order can't be made to print, I take the printer back and refund the £199 in full.
  • £59 a month, taken from your card by Stripe. Your first monthly payment of £59 is taken 30 days after your test order prints.
  • No commission per order.
  • Stripe's card fee on card payments: 1.5% + 20p on standard UK cards, more on premium and non-UK cards (Stripe's UK pricing, checked 13 October 2026). Cash orders have no Stripe fee.
  • Your own domain, only if you want one instead of the yourshop.web.app address: you pay the domain company directly.
  • Printed QR cards for your tables, if you want them: you print them.

Will you change my menu prices, or put the monthly fee up?

DingOrder never changes your menu or your prices without asking you: I don't, and you can change them yourself in the admin. Your price of £59 a month is locked for 12 months from your first paid month. After that it stays at £59 unless I announce a new price. After your first 12 paid months, any new price is announced at least 60 days before it applies, and you can stop instead.

How long does it take to get started with DingOrder?

Every menu is different, so I don't promise a number of days. Getting started with DingOrder is a few steps: You send me your menu (a photo of your printed menu is fine), we sign the agreement, and you pay the one-off £199. I enter your menu, and you check it. In London I connect the printer in person; elsewhere in the UK it's posted to you and I help you connect it by phone or video call. Then we place a test order together. I give you a date once I've seen your menu.

Can DingOrder handle pizza sizes, toppings or meal deals?

Yes. A dish in DingOrder can come in sizes, each with its own price, and with extras such as toppings. A meal deal can ask the customer to pick what goes in it. Customers make their choices on their phone, and the choices print on the kitchen ticket under the dish. It can't do half-and-half pizzas, or an extra that costs more on a bigger size. Send me your menu and I'll set it up with you. How it works for pizza and kebab shops.

I use GloriaFood. Can I move before it closes?

Yes. GloriaFood's website says it will stop on 30 April 2027 (checked 13 October 2026). I load your menu into DingOrder for you, and you can keep GloriaFood running until you're happy. How to move off GloriaFood, step by step.

Who do I contact when something goes wrong?

Contact DingOrder directly: WhatsApp or phone 07443 443872, or WeChat (search +447443443872 in Add Contacts). Service hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Messages outside those hours get a reply in the next service hours. It's not a 24-hour helpline, and I won't pretend it is.

Will you keep chasing me if I just want a look?

No. With DingOrder there's no sales team chasing you. Ask me what you want to know, and when you're ready, message me. I won't keep ringing you.

What happens if the printer runs out of paper or goes offline?

DingOrder sends each order to your printer automatically, but it can't tell if the printer is out of paper or offline, and it won't warn you. So:

  • During service, keep the today's-orders page of the admin open on a phone or tablet. Every order shows up there, printed or not.
  • Check the paper before you open.
  • If the printer was out of paper or offline, fix it, then press Print on each order that didn't come out. You can reprint an order while it's still on the today's-orders page. An order still open 45 minutes after it was placed is marked completed automatically (the check runs hourly from 11am to 11pm) and moves to the completed-orders page (labelled Completed today), which has no Print button. You can still read the order there.
  • If it still won't print, message me. I'll deal with it during my service hours.

Do I have to come off Just Eat or the other apps?

No. Your DingOrder website gives regulars a direct way to order from you; the apps can carry on. Before you set your website's prices lower than on an app, check your contract with that app.

Where are orders stored?

DingOrder stores orders on Google Cloud in London (the europe-west2 region). Card payments are handled by Stripe, and card numbers never pass through the DingOrder system. Your ordering website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Customer names, phone numbers and addresses are removed from orders automatically after 90 days. Each shop can only see its own orders. More on data and security.
