DingOrder isn't free

DingOrder

£59 a month

£199 one-off

You pay it before I set you up. It covers your kitchen printer and my setup: I enter your menu, connect the printer, set up your table links and place a test order with you. If your test order can't be made to print, I take the printer back and refund the £199 in full. Once your test order has printed, the printer is yours to keep, and the £199 isn't refunded.

GloriaFood's home page calls it a "Free Online Ordering System" (checked 13 October 2026). DingOrder isn't free: it costs £59 a month, locked for 12 months from your first paid month, plus the one-off £199, with no minimum term. When the monthly fee starts. Your first monthly payment of £59 is taken 30 days after your test order prints. From the second month, Stripe takes £59 from your card automatically each month, in advance (a card subscription). Stop before your first monthly payment and you pay no monthly fee, with no notice: tell me, and I cancel your subscription before that payment is taken. Once paid months have started, tell me on WhatsApp, WeChat or by email, and your subscription ends 30 days after the day you tell me. A monthly payment that falls due before that day is still taken; nothing is charged from that day on.

Every shop gets a web address, yourshop.web.app, as part of the monthly price. Not included: Stripe's card fee (1.5% + 20p on standard UK cards, Stripe UK pricing, checked 13 October 2026), your own domain if you want one, and printed table QR cards if you want them. Full pricing, or check whether it pays for itself.

Check this list before you move

Look at what you use on GloriaFood today, then check it against what DingOrder doesn't do:

  • No half-and-half pizzas, and an extra can't cost more on a bigger size.
  • No discount codes or promotions.
  • No table reservations.
  • No scheduled or pre-orders for a later time.
  • No app for customers.
  • No customer accounts carried over. Customers order as a guest or create a new account.
  • No alert if a ticket fails to print, and no "accept order" step: tickets print by themselves.
  • No self sign-up. I set up every shop.

If something on that list is essential to you, DingOrder isn't the right move.

How the move works

  1. List what you use now.

Your menu, opening hours, delivery area and fees, how customers pay, how orders reach your kitchen, and where your ordering link appears (Google, Facebook, leaflets, table cards).

  2. Send me your menu.

A link to your current ordering page, a screenshot or a photo of your paper menu all work. I load the dishes, prices and categories for you.

  3. Check the menu together.

Prices, names, what's sold out. Allergen tags only appear on dishes you confirm. I show you how; you check each dish against your recipes.

  4. Your web address.

Every shop gets an address (yourshop.web.app) as part of the monthly price. If you have your own domain and want to keep using it, I tell you exactly which settings to add at your domain company.

  5. Connect the printer.

DingOrder prints on a kitchen printer that I supply, part of the one-off £199, which you pay before I post the printer or come to your shop. In London, I come to your shop to set you up. Elsewhere in the UK, I post you the printer and set you up by phone or video call. The one-off £199 is the same everywhere in the UK, postage included.

  6. Place a test order.

We place a cash order together and check the ticket prints. If your test order can't be made to print, I take the printer back and refund the £199 in full.

  7. Swap your links.

Your Google Business Profile ordering link, your social media, table QR cards and leaflets. If you give me access to your Google Business Profile, I set your site as the preferred way to order on Google. Google may still list other ordering services too. How to add your new link on Google and remove the old one.

  8. Close GloriaFood when you're happy.

GloriaFood's notice on its website says it will keep supporting existing customers until 30 April 2027 (checked 13 October 2026), so there's no need to switch off on the same day.

What DingOrder is

DingOrder (叮单) is an online ordering system for independent takeaways and small restaurants in the UK, with no commission per order. Each shop gets its own ordering website, on a web address ending in .web.app (for example yourshop.web.app) or its own domain. Customers order collection, delivery or eat-in (by scanning a QR code on the table) on an ordering page in English or Chinese, which opens in the language of the customer's phone, and each order prints automatically on the kitchen printer. Shops pay a one-off fee for the kitchen printer and setup, then a flat monthly fee; card payments are processed by Stripe, which charges its own card fees. DingOrder is run from London: shops in London are set up in person, and shops elsewhere in the UK remotely.
