What's changed in DingOrder, with dates
Changes that customers or shop owners can see, newest first. Each date is the day the change went live (UK time). Things that aren't built yet aren't listed here, and I don't promise dates for them: what shops ask for decides what I add next.
14 October 2026: the admin and kitchen tickets in English
The owner's admin and the kitchen tickets can be in English. You pick one language for both in Shop settings; Chinese stays the default. Customers still see the menu in English or Chinese.
14 October 2026: sizes, extras and meal deals
A dish can come in sizes, each with its own price, and take extras such as toppings. A meal deal can ask the customer to pick what goes in it, such as two starters and two mains. How dish options work.
12 October 2026: category tabs and dish search
A switch in Shop settings puts the menu's categories along the top and lets customers search for a dish. With the switch off, the categories stay down the left side and there's no search.
8 October 2026: best sellers from the last four weeks
The best sellers at the top of the menu now come from the last four weeks of orders, worked out every night. You choose which categories, such as rice or drinks, to leave out of them.
8 October 2026: the admin's alert sound taken out
A shop owner asked me to take out the alert sound the admin played for each new order, so I did. New orders still show on the admin's today's-orders page.
